Pawliday Toy Drive Toys Have Been Delivered!
On Friday we had SO much fun playing Santa and delivering the toys from the Pawliday Toy Drive to the Hill Country SPCA in Fredericksburg, Texas!
Thanks to your holiday orders, we had three HUGE bags filled with dog and cat toys, small dog bed, cat huts and scratchers, and more!
Barli and Tiki headed to the shelter to help us with the donation; Tiki recognized it from our March visit when we adopted Barli...and Barli, of course, recognized it because it was his home for three months!
The toys were accepted for all the shelter's dogs and cats by beautiful Thumper, the mascot of the shelter's Healing Hearts program. Thumper was born deaf and had a broken leg after being thrown out of the car--then faced euthanasia at an area animal control facility before coming to the Hill Country SPCA:
Thumper was adopted by a Hill Country SPCA team member -- and was also Barli's very first friend! Barli was fostered by Thumper and his mom for his first few weeks of care, so it was so special to see Barli and Thumper reunite!
On behalf of the dogs and cats of his hometown shelter, Barli wants to thank each and every one of you for your orders and for sharing the toy drive with your friends. You helped bring a lot of joy to the homeless pets of Fredericksburg, Texas as they wait for their forever families!
